This is a view of the iconic Dead Horse Point. I have painted this particular desert canyon scene in the winter as well. You can no longer see Dead Horse Point as I saw it when I painted it in the 1970s because an UGLY parking area-turnout has been added. When I was there, the Point was just a dirt road that dropped off a sheer cliff. The majestic red rock vista disappears into the horizon. The road seen below is part of a 103 mile long mind-blowing journey through the geological ages. Put this on your bucket list!
